Whenever I’d tell someone I was writing a book, their follow up question would always be: “What is it about?” I’d stumble my way through a description and watch their eyes glaze over. If anyone of influence had ever asked me, I would have lost my opportunity to make an impression.
But now, I have a way to sum up the gist of my story. It’s quick, they get the idea, and if they’re interested they can always ask for more detail. Here it is:
A psychic teenager enlists her uniquely qualified friends in an alien rebellion against their will. They find themselves involved in a covert mission to assassinate the vampyric god-king of Nibiru – but the king is expecting them.
