I’ve fallen behind a bit in my word count. I’m about 600 words less than where I should be. That should be easy to catch up on, but not tonight. Every time I try to write my brain goes into a fog and I start to pass out. That’s what happened to me on Friday, I wrote two paragraphs and bam. Out. Tonight I think it’s a combination of getting a 9-1-1 call from work at 8:30, and my unwarranted exhaustion.
I’m also starting Chapter 5, and I have no idea what the entire middle of this book is going to be about! I have the first 10,000 words, and I’m at the first plot point. THEN WHAT?! I should have planned!
Honestly, I wasn’t sure I was even doing NaNo until the week before. I had the beginnings of this story mapped out in my head and that’s carried me this far. I found a great video on how to lengthen your story with subplots, by Jenna Moreci. I’m going to try and tackle her advice tomorrow, when I’m not passing out.
